The Podzone Podcast: #31 - 02/05/2007

This podcast was recorded in record timing of aproximately 31mins and 24.5 secs. It was a wonderous affair recording it on a hot and sweaty afternoon; Chris and Nick get down and dirty in the bedroom whilst talking about Panda Porn, Nick's Disability, Kristina Grinnall's contact details and urination in certain fountains... It's all fun and games here on Podzone farm.

The Podzone Gets Personal: #04 - The Money

The Podzone Gets Personal with The Money is as perverted as Liam Farrand in a Thai prison with lubricant - it really is that disgusting...

The Podzone Podcast: #29 - 18/04/2007

The Podzone Podcast numero 29 was recorded in a rough and rather rushed fashion with Nick having to write a French Essay and Chris having to dash off to work. Of course it doesn't help that Chris's laptop chose to have a hissy fit right in the middle of recording but there you go. The podcast was recorded in the semi-new studio and with a new intro it's starting to feel shiny again - so beware of slippery objects as I present to you The Podzone Podcast: #29 - 18/04/2007!

The Podzone Podcast: #28 - 11/04/2007

The Podzone Podcast number #28 was recorded during a power-breakfast between Chris Leydon and Nick Cooper in the early hours of the morning. The Podzone was recorded in the new studio and processed efficientlyall in one day, there are bits of jam stuck to some bits of the podcast so beware. This podcast also marks the successful return of Podzone co-host, Nick Cooper, from Ireland.

The Podzone Podcast: #27 - 04/04/2007

Hello Podzoneites, I bring tidings of great joy and a Podzone for your listening pleasure.

The Podzone Podcast for the 04/04/2007 was a wondrous affair in which The Podzone was first recorded using it's new studio equipment, which was bought rather recently and so all is sparkly and new.

The podcast is fairly shorter than usual because Dr Nick had to get home early in order to pack for his journey to Dublin/Belfast (delete as appropriate).

The Crucial Three:

  • "Love & Hate" - Tracy Saxby
  • "Take Me Away" - Ben Vega
  • "Into A Nightmare" - Classic Case

The Podzone's Tech News was sourced from Engadget - www.engadget.com

Nick's STDs:

This week the STD was for Belfast and was "028"

The Podzone Podcast Highlights: #02

Hello Podzonites, it's the infamous Mr Chris Leydon here, reporting to you from an emergency situation.

Unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control (they were in the control of a Mr Gary Frost), The Podzone was unable to take place on Wednesday, but fear not, for The Podzone always has a back up plan.

Recorded many months ago and edited together all but a few hours ago, I bring you The Podzone Podcast Highlights #02. Yes we've sold out as it were and done one of the cheesiest things that we could do but hey, at least you've got some content to listen to.

The Podzone Podcast Highlights #02 consists of the first two episodes of The Podzone Podcast, so please enjoy.

That's pretty much it for now.

From the noteworthy Chris Leydon and the equally not worthy Dr Nick.

The Podzone Podcast: #26 - 21/03/2007

Hello to you all. This is your general practitioner Dr Nick, reminding you of yet another Podzone Podcast! Out today in all good bookstores, it didn't actually go out over the airwaves of Youthcomm Radio, but do you know what Chris says? ********** Youthcomm. ***** **** **** ****** ***** the **** ****** ****** **** ***** a ******* ******* small child. (Blanked out to reduce offence.)

The show was as hilarious as ever, and was due to go out on the 21st March 2007, containing content that may just have been the following:-

  • We implement Podzone Decimal Time. This came into place at 6:32.95 in the afternoon.
  • Come to Vue Cinemas- it's fun for all the family!
  • We play Not Seeing Scarlet... sorry, Hollow Horse. God love them. (Nothing to do with the free copy of course.)
  • We appeal for money. All cheques and credit cards accepted.
  • Do go to Russia. Honest.
  • Watermark, Watergate, Nixon, whatever.
  • What is Liam Farrand's hand up to?
  • Nick doesn't use First Buses, but he does like Worcester Underground.
  • Can you define "the" without using "the"?
  • And all the features we're bored of doing such as The Podosphere, The Crucial Three, Nick's STDs, Traffic News, Tech News Lite, The Money are In (sort of), and Weekly Vue!

So just click on the link above for The Podzone podcast that was broadcasted on 21/03/07- as per usual the show has been edited down to comply with Podcasting legislation, and to take out the swearing (note from Chris: **** that, you can **** **** *** with **** **** *** and you.)

And that concludes the information from the Ministry of Propaganda. Download the podcast please- it was quite possibly more profane than a nun in the Pope's clothing.

And that be it. Ta-ra me ducks,

From the caring Dr Nick, on behalf of the swearing Mr Chris.

The Podzone Podcast: #25 - 14/03/2007

Good day to you. This is your Master Dr Nick, here to tell you more about the Podcast of the 14th March 2007, which I handily wasn't in. However, The Podzone's fine Third Officer, "not Dr" Sam filled in a manner that was as competent as Liam and Justin.

The show was as fine as ever, and was actually repeated later in the day (more news on that later!) However, let's stick to the Sam version for now, which contained content such as the following:-

  • Chris provides an educative service. Of sorts. This is- Sam's Ultimate STD test!
  • Where would we get steak from without cows?
  • Scissor Sisters discussion.
  • Dr Nick can't phone in! What a bu.......er.
  • Which day did Adam Curry do it?
  • Discussion on what it would mean if Mrs Thatcher became our MP.
  • Chris mucks up the engineering; Sam mucks up the engineering...
  • Chris has a fetish for something cold and wet.
  • The Money's new sponsor?
  • And all the features that have grinded you down such as Tech News Lite, The Podosphere, The Money are In, Traffic News, The Ten Past Four Feature, Nick's STDs... not, The Hit Test... not, and The Crucial Three (sort of)!

So just click on the link above for The Podzone podcast that was broadcasted on 14/03/07- as per usual the show has been edited down to comply with Podcasting legislation, and to keep Vue and Odeon happy.

And that be it for another week of blogging fun! Well unless the Secret Second 25th Podcast ever comes out this week, in which case I'll be back with you sooner than you thought! For now, please download the Podcast. It is quite honestly less fishy than a mackerel wrapped in smoked salmon, coated in tuna paste.

And thus I shall see you all soon. Ta-ra me ducks,

From the in absentia Dr Nick, on behalf of the insane Mr Chris.

The Podzone Podcast: #24 - 07/03/2007

Hello there, friends of The Podzone! Yes, it's good old Dr Nick back with you again for another weekly announcement! Yet another broadcast of The Podzone was made on 07/03/2007- and it was damn good. Do you know how I know it was damn good? Because it was.

The show was, as it so rarely is, a complete success, and it contained content that vaguely resembled the following:-

  • We start our own awards ceremony! And guess who wins Most Perverted Show!
  • Should Chris be arrested? Someone seems to think so.
  • Nick has to fill for a minute and a half, and there's some damn good content. In fact, just listen for this (happens about a certain number of minutes in- you'll have to listen to find out!)
  • Us? Professional?
  • We go head over... ... ... chest?
  • Suicide is painless, apparently.
  • We copy the Great Britain Show, with the IRN Channel 6 accidental feature.
  • Chris throws a padlock at Nick, for advertising a certain breakfast cereal.
  • We be reCOOPERated, and reLEYDONated. Clever, huh!
  • And all the features you dread to hate such as The Crucial Three, The Hit Test, Nick's STDs, Tech News Lite, Traffic News, The Money Are In, and The Podosphere!
So just click on the link above for The Podzone podcast that was broadcasted on 07/03/07- as per usual the show has been edited down to comply with Podcasting legislation, and to remove the product placement.

Dr Nick will be back next week for next week's blog, but if you're bored, or even if you're not during this week, head back over to our website at www.thepodzone.net for all your Podzoning fun! You can also listen to all our podcasts over and over again- including of course this one, which was quite possibly less perverted than Liam Farrand in a frock.

So for another week, ta-ra me ducks!

From the croaky Dr Nick, on behalf of the creepy Mr Chris.

The Podzone Podcast: #23 - 28/02/2007

Morning to you all. This is Dr Nick, your spiritual leader, wishing to describe to you the warm feeling inside that you can gain from listening to the latest episode of The Podzone Podcast!
Broadcast on the 28th February, 2007, it was good. So listen to it. PLEASE.

The show was once again a total failure, and it may just have contained such beautiful content as the following:-

  • Chris rummages in Nick's bag. This sounds painful.
  • We have Tintin in! All the way from Belgium!
  • Tintin tells us about his and Dr Nick's London Underground world record attempt.
  • Nick reads French. Very well, may I add.
  • Chris compares hearing yourself to... you'll hear.
  • Nick runs into a door.
  • Chris signs up for the British Army, or the SAS, or some other initials...
  • Virgin Trains, Virgin Mary... same thing?
  • And all the features you've grown accustomed to like mould onto bread, such as The Crucial Three, Nick's STDs, Tech News Lite, The Podosphere, The Ten Past Four Feature, The Money are In, and Traffic News!

So just click on the link above for The Podzone podcast that was broadcasted on 28/02/07- as per usual the show has been edited down to comply with Podcasting legislation, and to remove the World War III declaration. You won't regret it - it was quite possibly more optimistic than calling an empty glass "not full".

I therefore think it is necessary that this podcast be downloaded by each and every one of you! I'm being nice about it this week. You OOTZ fishes.

Thank you and goodnight!

Ta-ra me ducks,

From the psychologist Dr Nick, on behalf of the psychiatric Chris Leydon.

The Podzone Gets Personal: #02 - David Tyrrell

My Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Hello there. This is Dr Nick, wishing to give you some rather important information pertaining to national security. No, of course not- but I do have news about the second episode of The Podzone Gets Personal!

Yes, it's back and better than ever- just like New Coke, and when they changed Coco Pops to Choco Krispies (what was all that about?). On Wednesday 7th February, 2007, The Podzone Got Personal with... Youthcomm legend and passport-holder Mr David Tyrrell! Famous for Off The Wall, Out Of The Zone, and taking The Podzone's promotional photographs, we wanted to delve a little deeper into Dave. Therefore, prepare to watch fifteen minutes of invasive surgery... OK I lie- it's an interview, and a fantastic one at that.

We now have a proper set, kindly provided and created by the Youthcomm Media Group. Please allow us to apologise for the unusual sound in places- that's what happens if your boom mic (not to be confused with Boo Night) is made of a kitchen roll tube.

Make sure you watch it, for your viewing pleasure! It is quite possibly more fresh than a frozen pizza.
Ta-ra for now!

From the interviewed Dr Nick, on behalf of the irritated Chris Leydon.

The Podzone Podcast: #22 - 21/02/2007

Hello all of all faiths, races, and problems. This is your favourite psychiatrist Dr Nick, bringing you the joy of yet another episode of The Podzone Podcast. Once again, we have a wonderful mix of talk, music and the general mish-mash you've come to expect from us every week. If you listened to the show, you'll know this. If you didn't you won't. Unless you have secret powers. In which case, please visit www.drnickwantstouseyouforevilpurposes.com.

This may not be a real website.

Anyway, you may just wish to download the podcast now to hear some rather strange stuff, which may or may not include the following:-

  • Nick does the BT Décor telephone hold tone. Well worth it.
  • Chris is damned to Hell.
  • The Sainsbury's Grand Re-Opening- did YOU go?
  • Nick has mud on his shoe.
  • We're now on CD quality!
  • Chris didn't attend his University interview, and thus the railway companies have lost out.
  • Chris apologises for the Pope incident. Well, sort of.
  • Bible Codes- true, or more likely, false?
  • Spanish builders- mañana!
  • And all the great features we have to do such as The Hit Test, The Crucial Three, The Money are In, Weekly Vue, Nick's STDs, Tech News Lite, Traffic News and The Podosphere!

So just click on the link above for The Podzone podcast that was broadcasted on 14/02/07- as per usual the show has been edited down to comply with Podcasting legislation, and to keep Dave Tyrrell happy. You won't regret it- it was quite possibly more wacky and different than a brick.

It is therefore your duty to your country to download The Podzone's 22nd Podcast now! Or else, we will find you… and download it for you. And that's a promise. Not a threat. We're not being threatening. Honest. I'll stop now.

Ta-ra me ducks,

From the totally well-kept Dr Nick, on behalf of the socially inept Mr Chris.

The Podzone Podcast: #21 - 14/02/2007

Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen. This is your Captain, Dr Nick, speaking. I regret to inform you, that due to a lack of technical errors, a full copy of The Podzone still exists from Valentine's Day, the 14th. Therefore, we are constitutionally bound to transmit it to you through the medium of Dr Nick's Blog.

The show was, as ever, a complete and utter success/failure (delete as appropriate). Owing to reasons beyond our control, Mr Leydon and I were forced to invoke an Emergency Situation, and using Emergency Powers, Mr Leydon declared that there would be no Hit Test this week. Sorry. But there is so much content still to take in, such as:-
  • Chris breaks his own record and offends 1,098,366,000 people. Approximately.
  • We find out the Ted Grizzell family history, and it involves suits and Dr Who.
  • The Podzone's Malvern Hills Intro. If you don't listen to anything else, listen to the start. And if you don't believe us, that genuinely happened as documented.
  • Chris successfully disguises several swear words.
  • Information on The Podzone team's Valentine's Day!
  • We cut off the Out Of The Zone promo.
  • An interview with American Podcasting God Billy Hime. That's Billy Hime (that'll knock us up the Google Search page- two "Billy Hime"s. No, three.)
  • And all the features you've got used to such as The Crucial Three, The Podosphere (OK, that's just the interview), Tech News Lite, Traffic News, and Nick's STDs!

So just click on the link above for The Podzone podcast that was broadcasted on 14/02/07- as per usual the show has been edited down to comply with Podcasting legislation, and to fulfill our requirements to Her Majesty The Queen

Thus you must download the podcast now. It's quite possibly a better sign of volunteering than a letter with a small sheet of paper inside with the phrase "Please Volunteer" inside it. And with that, I shall leave you to your complimentary drinks and nuts. I hope you enjoy flying with us this evening.

Ta-ra me ducks,
From the "no anti-Catholic" Dr Nick, on behalf of the "no anti-perspirant" Mr Chris.

The Podzone Podcast: #20 - 07/02/2007

Hello there Podzoneites of the world! It's Chris Leydon here to tell you about the marvel that happened on 07/02/2007, this marvel, of course, was The Podzone Podcast #20!!! Unfortunately my good and dear friend Dr Nick couldn't be bothered to write the post this week so I'm here instead, honestly a bit of snow and the whole of civilisation falls apart!

This was quite possibly one of the weirdest Podzone's in recorded history and included such features as.
  • The Podzone starts at 10 past 4?
  • Nick's Ultimate STD Test
  • The Money Aren't In!
  • Adrian bully's Chris
  • The Podzone has MySpace!
  • PenIs enlargers for all!
  • Jazler plays up
  • Princess Sarah & Keep fit Sarah perform a military coup of The Podzone
  • No Podosphere
  • I'm A Mac & I'm A PC Ads
  • and the usual features such as Tech News Lite, The Crucial Three, Nick's STD's and whatnot.
So there you have a it a comprehensive and selective run down of The Podzone Podcast #20. Needless to say that I've been the fantastic Chris Leydon on behalf of the equally obsessive Dr Nick.

Speak to you next week!

As per usual the show has been edited down to comply with Podcasting legislation, and to add extra parts just to be illegal.

Thursday, February 01, 2007

The Podzone Podcast: #19 - 31/01/2007

Hello there, chums. This is the unbelievable Dr Nick telling you that yet another version of The Podzone was formed by accident on 31st January 2007, NOT involving Samuel Deacon in any way. Honestly. You obviously don't believe me, do you? Well it didn't. And that's a fact. Pretty much.

Anyway a full copy of the show does exist, and is pretty much detailed below. Though I do advocate that you listen to it also, just so you can fully grasp the following major things:-
  • Chris offends 16,491,461 people in one go. Quite possibly a record.
  • Nick won't kill you. Honestly.
  • Blatant disregard for product placement- although there are other radio regulations available (to break, that is.)
  • We break the ice... by skating on it in big shoes.
  • Was World II just Star Wars in disguise?
  • Jedi vs Nazi- Who wins- You decide.
  • Another Doner Kebab gag.
  • Has Odeon gone bust? (I can confirm... no.)
  • And all the features you're too enthralled in to hate such as The Hit Test, The Crucial Three, The Podosphere, Nick's STDs, Traffic News, Tech News Lite, The Money are In, and The Ten Past Four Feature. Plus the new Weekly Vue feature- I do wonder why...

So just click on the link above for The Podzone podcast that was broadcasted on 31/01/07- as per usual the show has been edited down to comply with Podcasting legislation, and to add extra parts just to be illegal.

So tune in. You'll be so pleased, because it was more controversial than a movie scene containing a horse, a lamppost, and a brick. And for now, it's bye bye baby- ta-ra ducks from me!

From the offended Dr Nick, on behalf of the offensive Mr Chris.

The Podzone Podcast: #18- 24/01/2007

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. This is Dr Nick, bringing you another week's full of blog goodness. The Podzone, broadcast on the wonderful 24th of January in the year 2007, quite possibly had more Deacons than a meeting of the Church of England (though we are of course completely secular and do not condone any religion!)

For once, we have a real copy of all the show, and hence you have plenty to enjoy! The show mainly went as follows...
  • Introducing The Podzone's Pork Cookies! They're finger-porking good!
  • We discuss a "contentious issue." Go us!
  • The Podzone has promotional photos taken, by master photographer himself, Mr Dave Tyrrell!
  • Does Chris do a glottal stop? Cer'aintly not.
  • AOL- do not pass Go, do not collect £200.
  • Definition of Adam Curry
  • And all the features you're too happy with to hate, such as The Crucial Three, The Hit Test (ja), Nick's STDs, The Podosphere, Tech News Lite, and The Money are In!

Plus you have the opportunity to catch the first audio glimpse at the new promo for The Podzone Podcast! It's exciting stuff, and anyone who says it isn't will be hearing from my solicitors.

So just click on the link above for The Podzone podcast that was broadcasted on 24/01/2007- as per usual the show has been edited down to comply with Podcasting legislation, and to remove the parts where Liam Farrand beat us with a stick. Not the head!

So for now, Ladies and Gentlemen, I bid you adieu, and ta-ra!
From the beaten Dr Nick, on behalf of the BEEPing Chris Leydon.

PS - Sorry this was so late, our server's been playing up.

Podcast #17 - 17/01/2007

Afternoon, all! This is the Right Honourable Dr Nick, who has found his way back to the Blog after what seems like literally days. We just about managed to record fifty minutes of pure content for you on Wednesday, despite some severe technical problems, which WASN'T the result of Chris Leydon spontaneously combusting.

Unfortunately, the recording of all the features that you love to love no longer exists, and thus you've missed out. We're sorry. We're really sorry. But we do have the hour where we performed a military invasion of The Money. This was about as pure as Liam Farrand, and you will hear this:-

  • We read from the Daily Star! Once in a lifetime experience.
  • News about The Podzone Gets Personal, starring Tonto and Muhammad Ali!
  • Chris Leydon's General Ignorance- not stolen from QI. Honestly. As much as I would love to be, I am not Stephen Fry.
  • Test Chris Leydon, with some top London Underground information!
  • Chris doesn't do a birthday request.
  • Nick goes on about ITV... as per usual.
  • Emergency Podzone Possible Backup Content! Completely and utterly constitutional in the Emergency Situation!
  • And there are other Gods available.

So just click on the link above for The Podzone podcast that was broadcasted on 17/01/07- as per usual the show has been edited down to comply with Podcasting legislation, and to remove the beating of Chris Leydon with a stick.

So, for this week, ta-ra me ducks!

From the "calm in an emergency" Dr Nick, on behalf of the "cause of an emergency" Chris Leydon.

The Podzone Gets Personal: #01 - Tonto

You may remember that in some of the previous posts and Podcasts we might have mentioned the Vidcast that myself and my Podzone co-host Dr Nick Cooper have been working on for the past few weeks, otherwise known as The Podzone Gets Personal.

Well on Wednesday 10/01/2007 the Pilot episode was filmed with guest interviewee Tom Campbell from Youthcomm's "Thank Tonto It's Friday!" and over the past few days it has been circulating around certain circles and we have been debating whether to release it on the general public.

I'd like to point out that this is only a Pilot and the final series will not necessarily reflect this pilot episode. I can tell you that on reflection of watching the pilot that we are actually going to have some sort of set, and the camera work won't be as shaky.

Oh, one last thing before I post a link to download the video and embed a streaming flash version of it. The sound is out of synch during the intro and the outro but this shall be rectified when we launch the main series.

From Chris Leydon on behalf of himself and the hardly mentioned but always worthy Dr Nick.

The Podzone Podcast:: #16 - 10/01/2007

Hello Podzone lovers of the world.

Once again it is that time of the week, the time that Dr Nick would usually be here writing this post. "Why the hell isn't he?" I hear you ask, well the honest truth is that it's because I was feeling a little left out of The Podzone Online Blog community, and because of the fact that I can't get through to him to write the blog in the first place, go figure.

Now there were some problems in recording this podcast, and these problems were all Dr Nick's fault. I have tried my best to deliver a half decent podcast for you to listen to and hopefully I've managed to accomplish this. The main problem is that you've only got half of a show, because somebody forgot to rewind the MiniDisc... Either way there is a special message from myself at the end of the podcast so do listen on.

I'd like to point out at this time that we at The Podzone are very privileged as we are the first Podcast to be able to use the new "Youthcomm Podcasting" sweepers and jingles. Nothing to get too excited about I know but still, I love it.

Anyway moving on to what really matters... The Podzone Podcast for 10/01/2007. This particular podcast did include the following in no particular order...

  • The unveiling of Samuel Deacon's "Far Away" - and keep going...
  • Mysterious plans...
  • An Apple Tech News Lite Special
  • No DTMF Feature
  • Ding Dong's Court Summons - This has all been sorted out and The Podzone Online is now back up and running nice and smoothly!
  • iPod Problems
  • And some other stuff such as The Crucial Three (Songs 1 & 2 anyway) and all of the usual but much (sort of) loved features.
So there it is, I do hope that you will enjoy yourself. Now on behalf of the absent minded and delusional Dr Nick and by my equally insane self - I should like to say good bye to you but for various legal reasons I shall not...

eyB dooG!
