Podcast: #7- 01/11/2006

Good evening, God bless and Goodnight! I mean, hey. The Podzone was resurrected from the shallow grave in which it lives from Thursday until Tuesday, and so a wonderful episode took place on the First of November in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Six. Of course, The Podzone is officially secular, though the UK does use the AD date system... anyway, that's not important.

Unfortunately, the Samster himself, Mr Sam Deacon was unable to be with us, due to prior engagements (though by engagement, I'm not accidentally revealing the secret that he and Kristina are getting married in Gretna on Saturday.) So, it's just Chris, and I- oh and the wonderful Adam Green, by whom I was so well introduced.

The show barely consisted of content, though the following did occasionally occur:-

  • Dr Nick gets locked out of the studio, and forgets the code.
  • Nick arrives late, because of the horrific traffic in Worcester City Centre. Chris has realised his dependency on Nick, and so Nick tops him up with the natural drug of Nickness!
  • Chris gets fed up with the Mystery Voice and offers £100 to anyone who gets it. Oh, except for Youthcomm personnel. And anyone connected to Youthcomm. And their families. Oh, that's all the listeners gone.
  • Chris does an impression of Steve Wright (though it isn't half as good as Nick's Ken Bruce impressions a fortnight ago.)
  • We will not play Agadoo. Not even for Chris' dad. Not for anyone. Save perhaps the Queen. Or former US President Gerald Ford. Or Gary Glitter- in fact, I haven't anything about him for years... you what? He did what, Chris? Right, that's it. I wouldn't play it for him.
  • Our new aim and purpose is to reunite The Jam. That's right. No, not the Honey. No, nor the Money.
  • And all the features you've been taught to love, such as The Hit Test, The Crucial Three, The Podsafe Music Chart, Nick's STDs, Tech News, Traffic News, and of course the Mystery Voice!

So click on the link above for The Podzone podcast that was broadcasted on 01/11/2006 - this show has been edited down to comply with Podcasting legislation, and to remove none of it, because it was so successful the first time that it was knighted by the Queen of Worcester. And you should listen, for it's more entertaining than a pantomime! What's that, Sam? Oh no it isn't!! Do be quiet.

Oh and I've forgotten to do all the web links. Here they are.

The Podzone's virtual cardboard box- newly refurbished, with stars made of old burger cartons and covered in wrapping from the popular sandwich shop, Metro/London Underground. Or The Podzone Online.

Youthcomm's Online Palace.

No Sam link this week. He doesn't deserve it. That be all.

Ta-ra ducks, from the radiant Dr Nick, on behalf of the radioactive Professor Chris.
